I picked intense Cedrat Boise a few months ago and I enjoyed it since my bottle of the OG was just about gone. I can detect oud, a well-blended woody and smoky essence, but there are no leather notes like in the Original.

This is a hyper-masculine scent, but it's much more wearable than some of the other leather-heavy scents like TF Ombre Leather and Dior Fahrenheit. I was worried that this would be synthetic as this house has had that stigma, but I find this to be much smoother than I anticipated. Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer. The initial weeks revealed its potency, boasting remarkable longevity of over 24 hours on clothing and a lingering 12+ hours on skin.

I do like this quite a bit but there’s this like almost synthetic twinge that does make me a bit sick to my stomach, I don’t know if it’s the oak moss or what but it settles weird. I do think Cedrat boisé would have been a better name, since "Bois" is woods, masculine, and "boisé" sounds more adjectival, but that's neither here nor there. It is much smoother and does not have that synthetic wood smell, which was the main reason for selling the original. Cedrat Boise features a stunning combination of citrus and blackcurrant with jasmine, crisp woods and musk.As it dries down, the woods and leather seem to make an appearance but eventually on my skin all I could smell was heavy incense with a hint of fruit.

Other folks may not detect the oud because it was so faint and well blended with the citruses and vanilla accords. More subtle, rounded and balanced version of the original, that is, from the opening till the mid the quality of the scent really shows. I get the fruits and woods at the beginning, but the fruits don't seem to last very long on my skin. I have a decent collection with both niche and designer fragrances, but for the office, it's easy to get board with many choices being more or less redundant. Even if others around me never liked this I would still wear it but that is never the case as I've gotten massive compliments from both sexes ranging from "and where are you coming from smelling all sexy" after a hug to "wow you smell so good.After spending some time with this fragrance, I think that it is more suited to cooler weather than warmer weather. While this is sometimes true, many times, like in the case of Intense CB, it's relating to longevity as indicated by its "concentration" (ie. This smells like a rubbery chemical raid (the lemon version) or even some off brand roach killer spray. As an analogy that is clearly both smell far more sophisticated than that but they have a delectable quality which others don't capture. Someone I know was shocked that I sprayed that much as they are 2 sprays max and wouldn’t reapply for the rest of the day.

I bought this on a good deal already have and Love the original but was always interested in because of all the good reviews on it.
